When we were young-er...

This is a little birthday shout out to Papa bear even though he rarely reads my blog. Happy Birthday babe! His birthday concludes (I think) everyone we know that had a birthday this month.

This photo was taken November 1996 at our first Marine Corps ball together. I was 25 and he was 26. At this point I had known him eleven months but we had already been engaged for two. I don't think he's moved that fast for anything since. I must have be a sure thing.

Christopher came eight years later...

Here's the thing...I still have that dress even though I'll never get in it again. You know those sweet "Having a baby changes everything" Johnson & Johnson commercials? The ones that make my eyes mist EVERY time. Well I could have done one with real tears when I got down to that size again and tried to put on that dress.
