Healthy Blog Fodder: Matcha better than last week

Green people are following me on Twitter

I assume it's from me sharing my Yummly recipe collection 50 Shades of Green Smoothies (504 so far) or the ones I've actually made and shared on Instagram. Either way, they think I'm healthy. So I needed to post something on top of last weeks Belgian Waffles and South Carolina Moonshine to feel legit.

I do eat/drink healthy about 70ish% of the time lately. The other 20ish%, I eat something dumb.

Today was a good day.

I started off my day with a Matcha Green Latte.

It's been a year since I went to Decaf Rehab but I've invited some healthy caffeine back into my life.

Matcha has half the caffeine of a regular cup of coffee and many health benefits for women. The energy boost comes from matcha's natural properties, not the caffeine. Google it.

Then I had a Super Detox Green Cleansing Smoothie.

Since I bought the Nutri Ninja in April, I am finally noticing a difference in body fat.

I've been drinking this one almost daily.

This smoothie tingles your palate with 15 ingredients. I like it as is, but if you're on the fence about trying green smoothies, this one is an acquired taste. A squirt of Skinny Girl Stevia Extract goes a long way in a green drink.

So we were out at lunchtime and I ate something dumb at Sonic. Totally defeating the "super detox".

While parked at Sonic eating fried stuff, I was looking at facebook and friend/blogger Hershel Scruggs shared a link to 22 Low-Carb Snacks.

One of the recipes was for Roasted Brussels Sprouts Chips.

Matcha Lemonade 50 calories

I was intrigued and reluctant because Brussels sprouts. Intrigued won and I went to a store that I knew had nice produce and I could buy just a few Brussels sprouts.

Surprise surprise. They was a delicious snack! I paired it with another Matcha drink, Matcha Lemonade.

That might be why I am still up at 10:28 writing this post.

So my day made for healthy blog fodder. Matcha better than last week huh?

Well, we WILL be having waffles again tomorrow, just without the moonshine hangover.
