As I turned off the lights in the kitchen, I left on one small light. I looked back and decided to take a picture of my roses because they looked pretty in the dim light. Of course the phone flash went off and I didn't feel like trying to figure out how to get the picture of how they really looked.

My day in 5 minutes...

I just had a funny thought. I said, “I don’t have time to write a stream of consciousness post right now. I’ll write a long post later.” What kind of sense does that make?

This one is five minutes of my time. By the time I add the bells and whistles to the other one I want to write, it’ll likely be an hour or more out of my day.

Fadra’s stream of consciousness (SOC) link up is back! Part of my “research” this morning was to find out how long it’s actually been since the last one. I don’t know if it was THE last one, but the last time I linked up with Fadra was July 1, 2012. I said, “Wow, I’ve been blogging a long time.” 

I don’t think I’ll go all share crazy on my SOC posts. It’s connected to mailchimp, which will share to facebook and twitter. I think I’ll turn off that feature for SOC Sunday. So what happens in mailchimp will stay in mailchimp. If you’re an e-mail subscriber, you’ll get first dibs.

The pollen was so bad this year that three weeks ago Papa Bear growled at me to go to the doctor. I obliged after buying an $8 nasal spray because my nose was on lockdown. I am feeling better now, and with all the rain we had last week, the yellow stuff is gone. YAY! I've been waiting on the Spring that I can get out and play in.

The quickest way to lose yourself is to forget yourself. The quickest way to forget yourself is to lose yourself.

It's a vicious cycle I am all too familiar with.

One day I'm writing, then I'm setting it aside and setting it aside until one day, it doesn't seem that important anymore. The reason for it seems irrelevant. Then one day I'm not writing at all and I wonder how I ever made time for it.
