Fake it 'til you make it...

The latest and greatest among website technology is having an app for that. I've done my research and it is expensive. What you can get for free isn't much right now. Five years is a long time, so this might be a stretch... but I'm betting that over time some of these web hosts will have "app-making" as part of their package deal. Until then...

Is your website mobile?

Of course it can be accessed on mobile devices, but is it readable? Your website is not optimized for mobile devices if people have to pinch and zoom to read it.

That's where having RSS reader apps such as Bloglovin, Feedly and Reeder come in handy.

Using an RSS feed reader app on the phone is cool, but what's even better is clicking the icon that belongs to the site I want to visit.

What's even cooler is if your icon looks like an app!

Clicking the shortcut icon allows me to see a list of titles for your website. This is better than a feeder app. Your newest post or the one you wrote last week doesn't get buried under someone else's post.

Here's the thing... I've written a Tech Byte App icons for mobile websites so you can look like you have an app for that (and a shortcut).
