Amazon Finds That I Love❣
When I was in elementary school we went on some pretty cool field trips. On one occassion we went to a Jazz Concert at the Coliseum. I remember Ella Fitzgerald was the singer. I'm not sure if she actually sang My Favorite Things or if it was played. But I remember that I was thrilled to know the words. My daddy owned lots of jazz music and a lot of artists played or sang that song. I never mind hearing it in stores as the first of the too soon seasonal songs when winter and Christmas are approaching and it's still 80º degrees in our neck of the woods.
This is a Listicle Friday post. It's a new prompt for Week 2 of the newly formatted Finish the Sentence Friday writing community. I'm co-hosting with Kristi Campbell of Finding Ninee and this week we are sharing 10 of our favorite things. I present to you....
Stuff I bought
#1 I just love this bowl and the spatula. I use it for facials and if I'm taking sugar scrub in the shower I put some in the bowl. I also put an unscented conditioner in it and mix essential oils in and take it in the shower as well. It's easy to clean and rinse off in the shower and I keep it in the bathroom. The spatula I use everyday to scoop out body butter into my palm. My plastic thing broke before I had used it a second time, but that was no biggie. I have a plastic set of measuring spoons that work out just fine.
#2 - I bought this at the same time as the bowl. It's much easier and more precise to apply facial masks with this brush. I love the way this brush handles any type of mask that you need to paint on your face. I've even used it for the sticky mask that has gelatin in it. I was scared that it wouldn't come out of the brush, but it you let it dry, it peels right off and then you can rinse the brush throughly. It does get stained if you use a mask with charcoal but it's a great brush.
#3 - I bought this back in April. I've truly been able to appreciate it this winter. It's great for putting lotion on your back. I make a homemade body butter and my back skin, which is usually terrible by this time of year, is wonderfully conditioned. No itchy bumps.
#4 - Beautiful! I took a gamble on ordering this online. I like to touch and feel things like this before I purchase. But I was not disappointed. The quality is excellent and it's even more beautiful in person. I mentioned this "perfect accessory" earlier this year when I wrote about our cruise vacation to Alaska. You can see me modeling it in this post.
#5 This band really fancies up an Apple watch. When I wear this band I call it my church watch. Just a note of caution if you decide to get one, kept it separate from other jewelry. I didn't treat my first one with care and the crystals turned dark. I know there are ways to clean them but I was within the date that I could return it to Amazon, so they sent me a new one. I keep it in a soft pouch now by itself. No more tarnish.
#6 Smart Outlets, who knew?! I love these. I had the old timey timer that challenges me every year when I'm trying to program the on and off for Christmas lights. All you need is the smartphone app and you set these up through your existing wifi - a one time setup. After that you can use the app in your phone to schedule the on and off times and multiple settings. I'm now using one on a lamp. Just in case we've arrived home in the dark, I can turn on a living room light from my car. I have this light also set to come on from 5:50 am until Christopher leaves for school.
#7 - I really got into essential oils in 2017 and I was thrilled to find out about diffuser jewelry. I'm not a big fan of perfume, so this is perfect for fragrance oil or aromatherapy. I plan to sniff something to relax my nerves when Christopher is playing sports because I am way to emotional.
#8 - Of course I had to have the matching necklace! These came as a set. I bought some faux leather cord to make a shorter necklace and I have that one hanging in my car over my rearview mirror. See photo below.
#9 - I found these during one of those lightning deals. I only wanted the teeny tiny nesting bowls for seasonings and such when prepping to cook, but the bigger bowls have come in handy as well. The biggest one can be used as a fruit bowl.
#10 - I didn't need all four of these, but I have two cellphone cases that I switch between, so I'm using the black and the silver. I gave the rose gold one to my mom. These are a classier looking than the pop socket things kids are using on their phones. It lays flat, so you can still easily fit your phone in your pocket. You can lift the ring and it can rotate 360º to fit on your right or left finger to hold your phone. The ring can also be used as a stand. It's also magnetic, if you have a magnetic car mount. See my pictures below.
If you could have any one thing from my list, what would you choose?
