Online Grocery Shopping is the Cure for "Road Rage"

Online Grocery Shopping is the Cure for "Road Rage"

5 minutes - ready, set, write!

A stream of consciousness post is to write about the first thing that comes to mind and then with this "Move" prompt, do it in 5 minutes. Well when I think of move, the first thing that comes to mind is that song by Ludacris. Just in general I don't curse out loud. But it happens in my head and this song is my Walmart song almost every time I'm in there. It is a pet peeve of mine for an entire family to be spread out across the aisle that I'm trying to get down. I'm a fast walker and if I can get through Walmart without a cart I'll do that. I zig zag and zip through like a race car. I don't drive like that. But I do have road rage in the grocery store. Like I seriously would like to ram the back of someone's heels or butt. Sounds awful. But there's now a solution for people like me. Grocery shopping online! My Walmart just introduced it and I've used it three times. I order my groceries online, reserve a time for pick up, then drive to the designated spot where someone brings it out. So I tested it with a small order and now I've done a big grocery order and I'm very satisfied with the process. Now if I need anything and I have to go in, I can grab whatever I need without the cart and maybe without the song.

If you decide to try grocery shopping online with Walmart, the one piece of advice I have is to click "no substitutions". That was a little bump in the road - great blog fodder if I had more than 5 minutes.

Sporadically Yours,

This was a Stream of Consciousness Friday post. It's the Week 3, of the old school blogging, prompt for the Finish the Sentence Friday writing community where I'm co-hosting with Kristi Campbell of Finding Ninee. This week we set a timer and wrote for 5 minutes on the optional prompt "Move"

Join us for next week's FTSF prompt where we will share a photo and tell the story behind it.
