Proverbs & Idioms...

When all the stars are aligned - I will be writing from my own computer AND under my own IP address.

I am one of those people who travel through life with such ease when things are aligned. Things have been off and I’ll blame part of it on the fact that I don’t have my own computer. We had one computer for years and years, but for the last six years I have had my own. It’s like going from a one car family to two. When one car breaks down, the primary driver gets priority while the other has to wait their turn. 

With the loss of my laptop, we still have THREE computers. What’s the problem you ask? Well none of them are MINE that’s what. One is older than my computer that died. You can boot the computer and go take a shower. When you come back it will be done crunching it’s way to the start screen. That’s pretty much how it goes, but it makes me multi-task while I wait for it to process information. Computer #2 belongs to Papa Bear. It’s the Daddy Mac for the photography business and it is pretty much always occupied. If I dare relax there for a minute, its not long before I feel a shadow looming, followed by, “Are you going to be long?” Computer #3 is the laptop (also for the business), but its mostly used for events when he is printing onsite. So I’ve taken over computer #3 - but it’s not mine. Despite the generosity of being able to using it at my leisure, I still feel the shadow looming when no one is even around.

Here's the thing... today the stars are really scattered. I’m not home because the internet isn’t working. My normal Friday post and my creativity were stuck in cyberspace (dropbox). So thanks to free wifi at Barnes & Noble, Dropbox and Computer #3, here I am. 

My Friday post is usually “Christopherism” related. Last week I posted a video with an offer for anyone who purchases a copy of The Christopher Chronicles from me for Mother’s Day. The offer is good until May 7th,  which still gives me time to get a autographed, gift wrapped book including a bookmark, priority mailed to the recipient. There I got in my marketing bit.
