The Secretary Has A Story
Hopefully if you're reading this post, you're picking up where I left off with my last one, A Photo Story featuring The Secretary.
If not, you're not missing any background story, except for knowing who "the secretary" is. While I was writing for the Finish the Sentence Friday prompt, I dug up a bit of history by asking my mom a question. By the time I got to "The Secretary" in my post - I had another story to tell.
Love & Hardship...
An anniversary tribute to my mom and dad. When I look at my parents, then and now, I'm in awe of their love, hardship and endurance. I am so glad they've been my roles models - for better and for worse.
We've come this far by technology...
Twenty-five years ago, you couldn't have told me that there would come a day that I'd want to communicate with my parents everyday or that a day would come that I would. In the last 16 years our greatest communication has been through writing - snail mail and beyond. Here's the story.
Weekend at Mimi's...
I enjoyed my weekend as usual. I'm off the mommy clock when I go home. Papa Bear was out of town so I was off the wife clock as well.
Cool Parents...
have some really cool parents. I was telling someone the other day how close I am to my parents - close in age and relationship. I said, "If they weren't my parents, they'd probably be friends of mine." We have even bridged the gap on technology.
First comes love, then comes marriage...
She retreated to another room to talk to my dad on the phone she reminded me of a teenager. When they talked at night, the light was out and I imagined that she was twirling her hair around the tip of her finger.
