When their hands tell a story...

These are my parents hands.

With these hands I was fed.

These hands pat my back.

These hands held me when I cried.

With these hands I was loved.

These hands held mine securely.

These hands clapped for me.

With these hands I was spanked.

With these hands I was loved.

These hands played games with me.

These hands carried me to bed.

These hands checked my temperature.

With these hands I was loved.

With these hands my hair was braided.

These hands drove me to school.

With these hands my face was spit shined.

With these hands I was loved.

Mom’s hands taught me to shave.

Daddy’s hands taught me to fight.

Mom’s hands taught me to cook.

Daddy’s hands taught me to skip rocks.

With these hands I was loved.

These hands wiped tears away.

These hands worked hard to provide for me.

These hands came together to pray for me.

With these hands I was loved.

These hands wave goodbye to me.

These hands drive to see me.

With these hands they text me.

With these hands I am loved.

Today is Parents' Day. I thank God for their loving hands.
